Get A Bachelorette Dress Just Like Kim's

by Natalie Gontcharova

I cannot sing enough praises for Kim Kardashian's Parisian bachelorette party dress. (And this is coming from someone who has not always adored her fashion choices.) The heavily beaded Balmain mini dress, provided by the brand's creative director, Olivier Rousteing, was inspired by a Faberge egg given to Elizabeth Taylor by her then-lover Richard Burton — and it looked even better on Kim than it did on the Balmain runway in 2012. All of those crystals, pearls, and embroidery come together into something quite chic, rather than garish or overwhelming. And that sky-blue color! Kim also changed into another beaded Balmain dress — this one with a plunging neckline — for her wedding reception, though we've only seen photobooth pics of it so far.

Are you planning on stepping out to a fancy party of your own sometime soon? It may not be a star-studded bachelorette in Paris, but if you're in search of an attention-grabbing number, you might want to take some cues from Kim. But while her Balmain was in the neighborhood of $20,000 (no thanks), I'm going to help you get a similar look for much less.

Here's Kim's dress in all its glory, for the record:

This beaded, sequined rose gold Monique Lhullier dress is just as refined, and one-fifth the price at $3,995 (still pricey, but perhaps worth the splurge for some):

This stunning, silk black-and-white number is almost as intricate as Kim's dress with its detailed beadwork. At $390, it's one-fiftieth of the price.

This Sue Wong cocktail dress ($498) is classy enough for a wedding, yet still flirty enough for the bachelorette party.

If you're going for full-on evening sparkle, this sequined Adriana Papell dress ($280) is perfect:

This ornate show-stopper from Matthew Williamson ($3,995) is guaranteed to turn heads.

It's all that hand beading and embroidery that makes these gowns pricey, so if you can do without, try the Blaque Label Long Sleeve Lace Dress ($75) for a similar vibe.

And if you only need the frock for one special occasion, you could always rent this pretty little Parker sheath dress for just $85.
