Is 'The Bachelorette' On Tonight? Yes... And No

by Nicole Pomarico

Okay, Bachelorette fans: I have good news and bad news for you. Let's start with the good news: we do get a new episode of The Bachelorette tonight—sort of. The bad news? It won't be anything we haven't seen before. Instead of airing the next episode (where Andi and the guys will hit France for the next part of their adventure), ABC is supplying us with a special called "The Bachelorette: The Journey So Far." And unfortunately, it's exactly what it sounds like — an hourlong highlight reel showcasing the most memorable moments from the show's past four episodes. Yes, it's kind of ridiculous to air a special like this so early in the season, but it is what it is, folks.

While we won't get to see any new dates or rose ceremonies or meltdowns or even obnoxious bro behavior from the remaining 11 guys, those of us who aren't dedicated enough to DVR (and then dissect) every episode now have the opportunity to catch up. If you ask me, ABC might be doing this in an attempt to pull in new viewers and get them interested, since this season's ratings have been so dismal so far.

And while the show's creators are in charge of what makes it into tonight's special, that doesn't mean I can't make a list of my own. What moments from the show should they include? Here are my picks:

The Best of the Awkward Limo Introductions

Because cringing at them the first time just wasn't enough. While many of the intros were pretty boring, there were a few that stuck out to me — and if we're trying to win over new viewers, humor is the way to do it. A quick montage of every time Andi said "I'm a hugger" also wouldn't be a bad addition. Want to make this special a little more interesting? I'm sure there's a drinking game in there somewhere.

Andi and Chris's Conversation With an Older Couple

While they were at the horse races, Andi and Chris ran into an elderly couple who are still together after many, many years of wedded bliss, and the conversation they had with them was too sweet for words. And for a gal who's looking for love on reality TV, advice from a seasoned, happy couple could be a great asset.

When Andi and JJ Dress Up Like an Old Couple Themselves

Okay, yes, it was weird (and a little played out) when Andi and JJ donned the Mrs. Doubtfire-style old lady and man garb for a date. Mostly because in reality, this would never happen — unless I just live in a world where my dates are incredibly boring and lack special effects makeup. But the idea behind the makeup was actually pretty cute: Andi wants to find someone she can grow old with.

And, Of Course, The Strippers.

Because who wouldn't welcome strippers to prime time television?
