You're Going to Want to Crash This Party

by Laura Rosenfeld

Does anyone else feel like "iHeartRadio" appears at the beginning of everything these days? The iHeartRadio Music Festival. The iHeartRadio Music Awards. iHeartRadio's Madea's Essential Playlist? Okay, that last one was obviously made up, but it seems like just as one iHeartRadio event wraps, another one is lurking right behind it. So what's this week's iHeartRadio event set to invade your TV screen? The CW's iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party, of course.

At the end of June, some of today's most popular artists hit the stage in Miami for iHeartRadio's two-day festival. In case you were too busy attending another music festival or just too afraid of Florida humidity to leave your precious air-conditioned home, it turns out you didn't miss your chance to dance along to what the kids are listening to these days. The CW will air part of the concert on Wednesday night.

So some important questions we have: Will there be pool noodles, is splashing allowed, and do we absolutely have to wait 30 minutes before going in the water? Oh, and who's going to be performing at this shindig? Well, we've got answers to that last one at least. Here's who you can expect to see wail their latest hits in front of rabid teenagers and some of the highlights from their sets.

Jennifer Lopez

J.Lo is obviously the headliner of this year's concert because she is the headliner of all our lives. Expect to see Lopez perform hits from yesterday and today, dance with no pants, and get a bloody knee after dropping to the floor for a dramatic dance move. It doesn't look like Lopez will miss a beat though — as if she could.

Ariana Grande

Even though she could've stayed home to watch her big bro compete on Big Brother , Grande will take the stage to sing tunes such as "The Way," "Right There," and "Problem." And yes, she will be joined by Iggy Azalea on stage. Do these two ever perform at any events without each other anymore?

Speak of the devil, Azalea is older than 16 now, but she will return to "the middle of Miami" for the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party, rapping "Bounce," "Work," and the unofficial song of the summer, "Fancy." Unfortunately, the amazing Charli XCX will not be there to lend her vocals to the chorus.

Nick Cannon

Cannon will host this year's iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party, because he basically hosts everything now. He also took the stage for a surprise performance of his new single "America" looking like a young LL Cool J.

Neon Trees

The pop group will truly make it a party with its upbeat tunes. Frontman Tyler Glenn will look particularly Miami-ready in his colorful outfit. During the show, he did reference coming out earlier this year saying, "I was raised in suburbia. I waited until I was 30 to come out. I need some support right now."

If you were thinking, "Gee, this concert could really use more EDM," have no fear. Tiesto will be there to make all your dreams come true. Neon Trees' Glenn and singer-songwriter Matthew Koma will lend some vocals onstage to the DJ's throbbing beats.

Lil Jon

Apparently, we've all taken a time machine back to 2004 and made Lil Jon a thing again. So much so that he will perform at the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party. He'll obviously perform "Turn Down for What," but he'll also be joined onstage by Steve Aoki for their collabo "Turbulence."

And the best part about watching the concert on TV instead of actually going? You only have to watch the performances you actually like.
