Paula Deen Turned Down 'Dancing With the Stars,' But She's Not the Only One
Even though she was offered a position on the hit ABC show Dancing With the Stars, Paula Deen declined, y'all. Thank goodness, because I think it's best that she stay out of the spotlight and reevaluate her outlook on life (ahem, racism?) rather than shake her groove thing during primetime. Deen's not the only star that's been courted for DWTS with no avail, though. Check out this list of celebrities that just don't want to pivot and pirouette themselves into our hearts.
Suzanne Somers Doesn't Want to Join the Dance Company
So what was all that thigh-mastering for?! Somers declined to be a dancer (but of the ones on our list, I feel like she could have kicked ass).
Ann Coulter Probably Thinks Dancers are all Going to Hell
Who knows why Ann Coulter was asked to be a star on the dancing show? It seems like a human rights lawsuit waiting to happen. Thankfully, Coulter declined.
Condi Too Conservative to Dance?
Condoleezza Rice wouldn't loosen up enough for Dancing With the Stars. Seems like the former Secretary of State was too conservative to be choreographed. (Not that she's a total square, though — she did appear on 30 Rock as a former paramour of Jack Donaghy's.)
Richard Branson Won't Be a Dancing Virgin
Virgin Mobile founder and gazillionaire Richard Branson was obviously too busy building his own personal rocketship to space to spend his precious time trifling with dance.
Zuckerberg Doesn't "Like" Dancing
Creator of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg rejected an offer from ABC to be a primetime hit. Apparently his Facebook success was enough. But I'd love to see this pasty entrepreneur do a jazz number.
