VIDEO: Ansel Elgort's Ice Bucket Challenge

Listen up: Ansel Elgort of The Fault In Our Stars is the latest celebrity to participate in the "Ice Bucket Challenge". It's exactly what is sounds like. The Ice Bucket Challenge started on Facebook when people started posting videos of themselves dumping ice water on their heads. Sounds like the worst idea EVER, but reportedly it's for a good cause: the "Ice Bucket Challenge" videos are being used to raise funds and awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also called ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Elgort admits on YouTube that he thought the challenge "was dumb" at first, but after being nominated to do the challenge, he says, "I realized that it was for a good cause". He adds, "Today I gave 500$ to the research and I encourage you to give as well!" Vulture reports that Elizabeth Banks, Martha Stewart, and Lance Bass have also gotten some ice-bucket action in and posted videos of their own, though Martha Stewart's is a little on the wimpy side. Elgort goes for the full, shirtless effect, which you might enjoy if you're into that. Ansel Elgort definitely gets points in my book for really making a commitment to this thing.
