What's Trey Doing Today?

by Kaitlin Reilly

If you've seen the pilot for new Fox series Gotham, you may have noticed a familiar face. That face is Ben McKenzie's, who captivated audiences everywhere with his brooding charm on Fox's The O.C. McKenzie played Ryan, a Chino kid who moves in with one of the wealthiest families in Newport Beach. But before Ryan was kicking it with Seth, Summer, and Marissa, he was stealing cars with his big brother, Trey, portrayed by actor Logan Marshall-Green. Trey had an arc on the show's second season and stirred up more trouble than we thought was possible — even for The O.C. While none of the characters were too sad to see the bad boy head out of town, fans of Marshall-Green may have shed a tear or two for Ryan's mess of a brother. Luckily, you don't have to bingewatch The O.C. to get your fix of Marshall-Green (but by all means, have at it). Here's what Marshall-Green has been up to lately.

Marshall-Green was a relative newcomer when he landed the nine-episode arc on The O.C. in 2005, with a six-episode arc on 24 and a few guest spots as his only credentials. After The O.C., Marshall-Green continued working in television. He starred in the 2007 drama series Traveler opposite White Collar star Matt Bomer, which was cancelled after only eight episodes, despite fan outcry. After that, he had a starring role on the 2009 drama series Dark Blue opposite Dean McDermott, which was cancelled after its first season.

If you're a fan of The Beatles (or became one after seeing this movie), Marshall-Green had a small role in the Beatles musical Across the Universe as Paco, the leader of Students for the Democratic Party. That wasn't the only film that you may have seen Marshall-Green in. If horror films that hinge on a twist ending are your thing, you may have seen Marshall-Green in a starring role in M. Night Shyamalan's 2010 film Devil. (It was the one with the elevator?)

His most notable role to date was in Ridley Scott's 2012 sci-fi film Prometheus as archeologist Charlie. He was discovered for the role after a casting director for the film saw him in an off-Broadway production of The Hallway Trilogy and decided he was perfect for the part. After Prometheus, Marshall-Green went on to star opposite James Franco as Jewel in the 2013 adaptation of William Faulkner's novel As I Lay Dying (pictured below) and as The Marquis in 2014's Madame Bovary. Next on Marshall-Green's filmography is the upcoming thriller The Invitation and The Quarry, a film about a man who returns from Vietnam.

One movie that Marshall-Green definitely was not in, despite his face making an appearance? Inception. Marshall-Green bears an UNBELIEVABLE resemblance to actor Tom Hardy, so much so that it's easy to see why people assumed Trey Atwood was hanging out in people's dreams.

And just to blow your mind a little bit more, that's not the only person who shares Marshall-Green's face. Enter Marshall-Green's twin, Taylor Marshall-Green:

Amazing. Truly amazing.
