It's crazy to me that nearly two weeks after the MTV VMAs aired, there are still stories popping up referencing Miley Cyrus's twerktastic performance with foam fingers and Robin Thicke. But, behold: Here's another. This one from Us Weekly centers around how Miley's fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, is "mortified" after watching her VMAs performance, and wants to break up with her in a few weeks time. It's sort of strange that one would pre-plan their breakup like that, but OK, I'll go with it.
Anyway, the rumors come from an "anonymous source" close to the couple, as these types of rumors always do. According to this source, the couple is "just weeks away from calling it off permanently...he is over her and wants to make a clean break. No more back and forth."
Another source (where are they finding all these guys?) said that Hemsworth was "mortified" by Miley's VMAs performance, especially the part where she pretended that giant foam finger was her dick. He wasn't really into that.
One final source added: "They're not even sleeping in the same room," and that they're more like roommates than lovers in their shared LA home.
If this is true — and I'm not saying it is, because that whole pre-planned breakup sounds all sorts of sketch — it wouldn't be a total shocker. The 23-year-old and the 20-year-old couldn't make their engagement work? Also, the sky is blue, and LA has bad traffic.
