I (Almost) Predicted J. Law's Dior Dress

by Rosie Narasaki

I've been riding high on the victory of correctly guessing Lena Dunham's pink ruffle-monster, Giambattista Valli Couture Emmy's dress since August, but it was time for another win. Okay, an almost win. You see, a few weeks ago I made some predictions as to what Jennifer Lawrence would wear during her Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 press tour — and one was very, very close.

My guess was close enough for me to call it correct, in any case! I have no scruples when it comes to celebrity fashion guess work — this time last year, I was proudly telling friends that I had correctly guessed the dress that Anne Hathaway had almost worn to the Oscars (remember how she discarded a gorgeous lacy Valentino gown in the favor of that Prada nipple disaster? Yeah, I called that one).

Anyway, even if I hadn't (basically) called it, I still love J. Law's Los Angeles premiere dress — the silhouette is perfect on her, she looks gorgeous in that oyster shell/off white, the back is a lot of fun, and long story short? She looks like a gosh-darn balletic Disney princess (with a definite assist from her better-than-ever makeup game).

The but is that part of me still likes the dress I picked out a tiny bit better. What do you think? I'll leave it up to you to decide.
