'Glee' To Settle Bitter Pop Star Rivalry

If you've been losing sleep over that pesky Katy Perry/Lady Gaga rivalry — how could they both release albums only a month apart! — fear no more: Glee is here to put an end to it once and for all (or capitalize on it, I can't really tell right now, to be honest). According to Hypable, the fourth episode of the upcoming fifth season of Glee will focus on the Katy Perry/Lady Gaga rivalry, featuring songs from both the artists performed by various cast members and guest star Adam Lambert.

The episode will be Lambert's first for the series, it's likely that he'll have something to do with the fact that everyone is suddenly so focused on Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. That would make the most sense, anyway. So far, there are four songs set to officially be in the episode — and it looks like Perry's "Roar" is going to be featured in a BIG way:

- Katy Perry’s “Roar” sung by Unique, Jake, Sam, Marley, Tina, Artie, Ryder, Kitty, Blaine, Kurt, Rachel, Santana, Dani (Demi Lovato) and Starchild (Adam Lambert).

- Lady Gaga’s “Applause” sung by Sam, Marley, Artie, Blaine & Ryder

- Katy Perry’s “Wide Awake” sung by Tina, Unique, Jake and Kitty

- Lady Gaga’s “Marry The Night” sung by Starchild (Lambert)

It's not clear under what circumstances these songs will be performed, or if Glee will be holding some sort of fight to the death to settle the Perry/Gaga rivalry once and for all. Just ideas, here!

Episode four will be the first to air after Glee's emotional Cory Monteith tribute airs on Oct. 10. As cast members have previously stated that the show will take a break after Monteith's episode, it's not certain when episode four will air.
