Rosamunde Pike's Trapeze Dress Will Make You Drool

I know we're only four days into 2015, but I think I'm ready to name my favorite dress of the year thus far. At the Palm Springs Film Festival, Rosamund Pike wore a floral trapeze dress with a parson collar and stole my heart right out of my chest. This, my friends, is A-line at its finest.

On Saturday night, the Gone Girl actress appeared in a gorgeous minidress on the red carpet at the Parker Hotel for the California film festival. Not to gush, but this bell-shaped frock looks like one of the early creations of Balenciaga. It's elegant in its simplicity, yet playful in its sculptural ingenuity. It's kind of porn for fashion nerds.The sleeveless black silk number also appears to be printed with a few carnation-colored anemones. Her legs looked about a mile long in a pair of simple black sling backs. Keeping the beauty simple, Pike wore her blonde hair slicked back into a simple chignon, and added a pop of color with a red lip. Just gonna come right out and say it: Pike is working this look like the rent is due tomorrow.

Babygirl is making me want to add "wear more trapeze dresses" to my New Year's Resolution list.
