The Topshop Unique 2015 Show Was Probably Inspired By These 5 Things, Cause Obviously The 70s Were A Big Influence
On Sunday afternoon, cool girls like Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof, and pretty much every single of-the-moment model congregated in London at the Topshop Unique A/W 2015 presentation (guess my invite got lost in the mail). Judging from the looks of this collection, Topshop's designers were clearly inspired by a handful of things including the 70s, The Muppets, and smoking jackets. Just for funsies, let's take a look at some other funky fresh looks from this show and tease out their inspirations.
Vintage School Uniforms
Throw on a pair of Mary Janes, and you’re basically an early 60s primary school girl in this adorable little jumper.
Oscar The Grouch
Ain’t nothing wrong with a faux fur coat that conjures up fond images of your favorite Sesame Street character.
James Bond's Brown Suits
When he played James Bond throughout most of the 70s, Roger Moore was famous for wearing brown suits — as was the fashion of the time. Perhaps Topshop put a funky spin on the look by doing a satin rendition.
Wolves
Hey, if there were any right time to cloak oneself in a wolf pelt, it would certainly be RIGHT now.
