6 Fashion Week Outfits That Looked Remarkably Like Dr. Seuss Characters

Only Paris Fashion Week remains of Fashion month, so let the reviews and judgement commence. While Fashion Week offered many sartorial delights, it also left the world with many unanswered questions. Perhaps the most pressing query was this: Did designers steal from one Dr. Seuss? A handful of simply beautiful beautiful ensembles walked down the runway, but they were bookended with clothing that appeared to be stolen from the pages of How The Grinch Stole Christmas and The Cat in the Hat. It was a miracle none of Fashion Week's models broke into onomatopoeia and short, rhyming verses for all of the neon colors, ever-so-fuzzy fashions, and twee accents in each collection. So get your sartorial grinch on and prepare to feast your eyes on six fashion week ensembles that were plucked from Dr. Seuss's imagination.

Versace Fall 2015 Vs. The Lead Character Of 'Green Eggs And Ham'

With attitude and yellow fur to spare, this model on the Versace runway may as well have shouted, “I would not eat green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam-I-am!” Of course, a pre-Fashion Week restriction diet in all likelihood prevented her from setting foot within 60 feet of foods containing such high levels of cholesterol and salt.

Orla Kiely Fall 2015 Vs. Sally Of 'The Cat in the Hat'

With her sweet pink and white pinafore, Sally is a dead ringer for Orla Kiely’s peach satin-clad model.

Mary Kantrantzou Fall 2015 Vs. Cindy Lou Who Of 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas'

Pretty pink ensemble? Check. Youthful, pouting face? Check. Quirky collar with a retro ruff? Double check.

Giles Fall 2015 vs. The Cat in the Hat

Hello, 21st century Cat in the Hat. Giles Deacon loves to color outside the lines, so the designer may well have foreseen the parallels between his pussybow collared suit and The Cat in the Hat’s signature garb. Add a pair of white gloves and a Pharrell-like chapeau and you’re well on your way to Seussville.

Delopozo Fall 2015 Vs. The Grinch Of 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas'

All this virulent green Delpozo coat needs is a crimson santa hat and it would be perfectly seussical. You’re a mean one, Delpozo designer Josep Font.

Gucci Fall 2015 Vs. The Lorax Of 'The Lorax'

No character is furrier than the stern Lorax, whose plush feet were echoed on the Gucci runway. Perhaps Gucci’s message was an ecological one echoing the Lorax’s conservation advocacy. Otherwise, I haven’t the slightest idea what models were doing with fur on their feet.
