Helen Mirren, You're A Total Babe

by Sienna Fantozzi

Holy hourglass. This is a killer figure. Helen Mirren attended the Roundabout Theatre Company's 2015 spring gala, and wore a gown that gave an entirely new meaning to the term "figure hugging."

For Monday night's event at New York City's Waldorf Astoria hotel, the Oscar-winning Dame, who is currently starring on Broadway as Queen Elizabeth II, wore a semi-sheer, floor-length, navy blue Carmen Marc Valvo gown that accentuated her insane curves. Seriously. This woman is 69 years old and looks better than women half her age. How is she even human?

The sheer illusion beaded side panels nipped at her waist and perfectly contoured her body in a tasteful look that was both elegant and refreshingly modern at the same time. Mirren accessorized with dangling diamond earrings, a structured silver necklace, dark pink lipstick, and a black, beaded clutch — just to add some extra pizzaz. The British actress was at the gala to receive the Jason Robards Award For Excellence in Theatre.

The head-to-toe look was, expectedly, a head-turner, and I'm sure she has inspired many young women (this one included) to not only look that good when we age, but to also have that much fierce inner confidence. Helen, you're a total babe.
