Dean Sheremet Talks Divorce From LeAnn Rimes

For the first time ever, we're getting extensive details about LeAnn Rimes and Dean Sheremet's divorce, from Sheremet himself. In an interview with Nat's Next Adventure, Sheremet, a chef and former actor, revealed information about their marriage, the true cause of their split, and how he really feels about Eddie Cibirian, Rimes' current husband and the man she cheated on Sheremet with. In 2009, Sheremet filed for divorce from Rimes, and many have been wanting to hear his side of the story. Well, now he's really opening up, so get ready. Let's get to it: what does Sheremet blame for his divorce? Guess what? He doesn't 100 percent blame things on the cheating, as Sheremet said it was "the business" that destroyed his marriage.

He revealed,

I wasn’t the person she came home to and unloaded on. And, then, of course, I was thinking, I haven’t done what I’ve wanted to do in over eight years. I came to the realization that my name was never going to be on the marquee. No matter how much I put into this show or that tour, it was never going to be about me. And that was a really big moment.

Sheremet said he put his career on hold for his wife because, as he explains, "thought it would be better for me to take all of my creative energy and ideas and put it into her." Even though he admits that it's "childish" for him to think this way, he feels like he never "got the credit" that he truly deserved. "So that resentment slowly built over time. I have my own dreams and goals and I felt like there wasn’t room for me," he added. Sheremet even went as far to say, "The dumbest thing she ever did for her career was divorce me... Because we were such a good team."

Based on Sheremet's interview, there seemed to be a lot of unhappiness and stress in their relationship, which grew once Cibrian and Rimes met on the set of the Lifetime movie Northern Lights. Sheremet said Cibrian is "one of the most charming people you’ll ever meet," but when it comes to trusting him? Well, Sheremet said, "But I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw this f--king table... He just felt like one of those guys from the beginning. A total schmoozer. Very Hollywood. I never bought his schtick. But I wasn’t worried."

Obviously, things ended for Rimes and Sheremet, but it hasn't held him back. He is now married to photographer Sarah Silver. For him, he believes if you aren't happy with yourself, well, that's something you need to change, stat, otherwise, you're relationship won't succeed.
