Cate Blanchett Makes Spring So Pretty

by Sienna Fantozzi

Easter is right around the corner, so why not wear a dress that looks like a dipped and dyed, pastel Easter egg? Cate Blanchett attended the Australian Cinderella premiere, and her bright patterned dress was all kinds of spring goodness.

The 45-year-old actress (who attended the premiere with her husband and three sons, though there was still no sign of her new baby daughter, Edith) wore a bright pink and lilac, geometrically patterned dress for the movie premiere at the State Theatre in Sydney, Australia on Sunday night. The A-line dress was sleeveless and hit just at her ankles, revealing a pair of simple, black pumps. Photographed in front of a white floral backdrop with blue and yellow butterflies, it was pretty much the epitome of an Easter scene-scape. But I'm not complaining. The Roksanda dress, a Serbian designer, perfectly contoured Blanchett's body, and the pastel colors complimented her glowing porcelain skin. With light and dewy makeup, a pink lip, and her blonde hair swept to one side and pulled back, the Oscar winner looked like effortless, fresh glamor.

But in all seriousness, how great would this dress' color palette and pattern look in a basket of Easter eggs?
