16 Celeb Couples Who Managed To Pull Off Secret Weddings, From Brangelina To Bennifer 2.0

During a recent appearance on The Late Late Show, host James Corden asked Mila Kunis if she and Ashton Kutcher were already married. What did Kunis say in response? "Maybe." So this is not exactly an exciting proclamation, but based on the couple's past actions, it really seems like they've probably tied the knot in secret.

I really hope this is true because a secret wedding is not the worst way to go. Plenty of celebrities have had secret marriages. Of course, the couple's either announced them eventually or information came out at a later date, but these couples managed to go about the actual ceremony without saying anything and without paparazzi leaking the information. Check out these 16 super private wedding ceremonies.

Beyoncé & Jay Z

After approximately six years together, without ever publicly confirming their relationship, Beyoncé and Jay Z secretly tied the knot at his NYC penthouse in 2008. Their wedding was so private that they waited until June 2014 to reveal any wedding footage.

Brangelina

The golden couple surprised us all when they announced a top secret French wedding in August 2014. Then in January 2015, Jolie revealed that they actually had two secret ceremonies with another wedding in California before the French ceremony. But it wasn’t exactly a lavish affair. Jolie recalled, “One day I said to Brad, “Let’s meet up at 4:30 pm?” I called a justice of the peace and we signed the documents.”

Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds

The most beautiful couple in the world got married in 2012 on a southern plantation in South Carolina. It was actually the same plantation featured in the movie The Notebook, so it was definitely a romantic location.

Bennifer 2.0

The only reason that I am happy for the demise of the original Bennifer with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez is because Affleck ended up falling for Jennifer Garner. Bennifer 2.0, as I like to call them, got married in June 2005. They announced this at the same time they announced Garner’s first pregnancy. Well, that went from 0 to 100, real quick.

Adam Brody & Leighton Meester

I don’t know about you, but my heart melted when I found out that Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf got married. And by that, I’m talking about their real life counterparts Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, who sneakily got married over Valentine’s Day weekend 2014.

Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin

With such a public break up, it’s kind of surprising to think that the “consciously uncoupled” Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin got married in a very low key ceremony. They got married in 2003 in Santa Barbara, California with zero family members present. Wow, talk about “private.”

Gisele Bündchen & Tom Brady

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady got married all the way back in 2009, but it took them until February 2014 to reveal any wedding photos when the supermodel posted a throwback photo on Instagram. This doesn’t surprise me at all. They are a pretty private couple, but Bündchen does reveal some personal bits here and there on Instagram.

Kristen Bell & Dax Shepard

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard didn’t have an elaborate wedding. In fact, they got married at the Beverly Hills County Clerk Office in October 2013. It’s nice to see that they didn’t get caught up with any sort of elaborate celebrity wedding planning and just focused on the marriage.

Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka

Neil Patrick Harris didn’t keep his wedding to David Burtka a secret for too long. On September 8, 2014 Harris tweeted, “Guess what? @DavidBurtka and I got married over the weekend. In Italy. Yup, we put the ‘n’ and ‘d’ in ‘husband.’” The two were able to keep the ceremony private, but could not contain their excitement afterwards.

Kerry Washington & Nnamdi Asomugha

Just like her Scandal alter ego, Kerry Washington is an expert when it comes to keeping a secret. In July 2013, Washington revealed that she married football player Nnamdi Asomugha in a private June 24 ceremony.

Megan Fox & Brian Austin Green

After two engagements, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green made things official when they got married in Hawaii during a June 2010 ceremony. Despite the up and down courtship, their marriage seems pretty happy and stable.

Chris Pratt & Anna Faris

After rumors of a Hawaiian wedding, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris surprised us all when they announced that they had a small wedding ceremony in Bali on July 9, 2009.

Orlando Bloom & Miranda Kerr

Only a month after getting engaged, Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom tied the knot in July 2010. Kerr revealed the marriage when she had to cancel an appearance at an Australian department store — how romantic.

Kelly Clarkson & Brandon Blackstock

Kelly Clarkson was overwhelmed planning her wedding to Brandon Blackstock and details had begun to leak online, so she decided to elope instead. But then, the couple changed their minds again. Instead of eloping, the couple had a small ceremony in Tennessee with family and friends.

Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are a very cute couple, and I pictured them having a fairy tale wedding. But actually, the duo eloped in Las Vegas in 1996. That’s one gamble that clearly paid off!

Scarlett Johansson & Romain Dauriac

Scarlett Johansson is no stranger to the covert weddings. In 2008, she married Ryan Reynolds on the low back in Canada. And the actress has stayed true to form. In December 2014, it was revealed that Johansson had actually been married to her current husband Romain Dauriac for months. Wow, so hush-hush.
