Check Out Free People's Festival Collection

by Jamie Cuccinelli

With all the hype that H&M's Coachella line has gotten, I'm honestly surprised that the newest collection from Free People, released just in time for the start of festival season, hasn't received the same amount of attention. The Free People's 2015 festival lookbook is finally here, and it's definitely worth a look (although your wallet might prefer you keep it at that — these wares are pretty but also expensive). The Festival Shop is full of fringy, hippy goodness that's bound to break your flower crown budget (and added bonus as far as Courtney Love is concerned).

Free People thankfully left out the Native American headdresses this time around, but I feel that the $285 tipis, $60 hand-crafted tambourines, and $58 Kantha Festival Flags might not sit well with some folks. The rest of Free People's festival collection is full of the Coachella staples that you would expect, but with very hefty price tags attached. These "vintage wash, ethnic embroidered" sweatpants for a cool $160 might be trendy, but I can't imagine wearing them in the hot, sweaty desert surrounded by thousands of other people. But maybe you're different — scroll down for some of the best pieces from the collection, but beware — these prices are not for the faint of heart.
