Kate's Dotted Dior Gown Is A Head Turner

by Sienna Fantozzi

Red may traditionally be more of a cold weather month color, but this dress makes a case for the bold and bright hue in the spring. Kate Bosworth attended Dior's Mid Winter Gala on Friday night, wearing a dotted red and white dress that looked like a juicy, ripe strawberry patch. And it's so much sugary sweet goodness.

The 32-year-old actress walked the red carpet, alongside her husband Michael Polish, at the San Francisco event in an eye-catching, floor-length Dior spring 2014 gown. The white gown, which perfectly contoured her body and showed off her teeny tiny waist, was strapless with bright red dots all over it, a sort of nod to mod. Bosworth accessorized with a white and gold geometric clutch, and wore her blonde bob in a side part with undone waves, a minimally made-up, fresh and dewy face, and ruby red lipstick. She basically looked like a bowlful of bright spring berries — one that you absolutely cannot resist.

It was a dress that I wasn't wild about on the runway, but with Kate's styling, it looks far more fun, fresh, and modern. Head-to-toe polka dots (at a black tie gala, none-the-less) never looked quite so good.
