Dior often gets a bad rap for some of their less-inspired Jennifer Lawrence gowns, but they've seriously been killing it lately: Have you seen Marion Cotillard's latest Lady Dior ads? How about Zoe Kravitz' sequined/caped Insurgent premiere dress? Or Hailee Steinfeld's retrofuturistic frock (paired with epic patent leather boots with lucite heels) from the iHeartMusic Radio Awards? And perhaps best of all, what about San Francisco Fine Arts Museum's Mid-Winter Gala? Sounds obscure, sure, but the event boasted some of the chicest Dior gowns out there: Kate Mara, Kate Bosworth and Suki Waterhouse were all in attendance, looking various degrees of fabulous in designs from the famous fashion house.
The star-studded event was held at the aptly named Legion of Honor in San Francisco, and the partygoers were as well-dressed (or better) as any big movie premiere or awards show — somehow, the museum events always draw the best ensembles — maybe it's the close proximity to all that fine art that inspires partygoers to bring their fashion A game... Either way, Kate Bosworth (and Mara), along with Suki Waterhouse had some of the best looks of all: Mara looked regal in an intricately-beaded retro-silhouetted number, while Waterhouse glammed things up in a sequined black gown with a '70s-like plunging neckline. Bosworth looked perhaps best of all in a striking orange and white column dress — paired with a matching (not to mention very on-trend bright orange lip). Let's take a look!
It's so sparkly! Hopefully, we'll be seeing more of Kate's sartorial wins as the promotion for Fantastic Four heats up.
Classic, yet interesting — I love the subtle tiers. Suki arrived at the event wearing a gutsy, very dramatically-lapelled coat that bears taking a look at (even though it pretty much swallows her delicately-sequined gown whole):
Only a model like Suki could pull that look off, eh?
So pretty, and so, so, so cool.
