More Details Revealed About Bruce's Interview

Even more alleged details are being released about the highly anticipated interview with Bruce Jenner and Diane Sawyer. On Tuesday, it was confirmed that Bruce Jenner would sit down with Sawyer on April 24 in a two-hour 20/20 primetime special that will air on ABC. Speculation continues to swirl around what the two will discuss, but many believe Jenner is going to use the opportunity to come out publicly as transgender. However, TMZ supposedly has the inside scoop on the interview.

Per the website which spoke with sources connected to Jenner and the special, the interview will act as a "farewell to Bruce" and it will be the first time the Olympian will "present himself" as a woman publicly. Also, the TV discussion is said to focus on Jenner's mental state and his journey. TMZ reports that Jenner "does not reveal his new name, or dress like a woman on camera." Basically, the interview will seemingly chronicle Jenner's life starting at age five, when he allegedly first "identified as a woman."

Apparently, the interview was filmed over a period of time, where Jenner opened up about his journey and "the difficulties he's had in life living as a man but not feeling like one." TMZ also adds, "He also spends significant time talking about the impact his decision to have a sex change has had on his family." Furthermore, sources told TMZ that viewers will see that "some of the most compelling moments" are when Jenner reveals how "mundane things" will change in his new life.

Reportedly, Jenner feels like this is the perfect opportunity to "free himself and educate the public so others in his position don't have to go through the pain." TMZ also says the interview is important to Jenner, who reportedly sees it "as the most significant event" revolving around his alleged transition.

If any of these details are true, there's no doubt the two-hour special will prove to be emotional and inspirational all at once, especially for those who are going through a something similar to Jenner's alleged situation.

Editors Note: Until/unless Jenner has personally confirmed the transgender rumors and the intention to begin presenting as a woman, Bustle will continue to refer to the track star as a man and father, using male pronouns. Jenner deserves the courtesy of being able to “tell his story his way” when ready, as step-daughter Kim said, and Bustle will only make those changes if/when Jenner confirms.
