Get 'Avengers 2' Tickets Before Everyone Else

by Nick Romano

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year. It continues the adventures of Earth's Mightiest Heroes as they take on threats they are brutally unprepared to face: the world-domineering sentient robot Ultron, the magic-wielding Scarlet Witch, the lightning-fast Quicksilver and the "Child of Ultron" The Vision. There's a lot to be excited for when the film hits theaters on May 1, and now you can get Avengers: Age of Ultron tickets early before everyone else starts scooping them up.

Here's what you need to do...

Head on over to Fandango.com and enter your city, state or zip code. The site will generate a list of all the movie theaters participating in the pre-ticket sales. Age of Ultron screenings kick off the night before the wide release on May 1, so if you're dedicated, you might as well go and see all the action before your friends... or why not with your friends?

If you've been living under a rock, or are simply a casual superhero movie fan, or worse still have only seen the other movies because your boyfriend dragged you along, here's what you need to know about Age of Ultron.

The Avengers are reassembling after the past events. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) left Asgard at the end of Thor: The Dark World and has been living on Earth. Captain America (Chris Evans) has been searching for his resurrected buddy Bucky Barnes (aka The Winter Soldier) after Hydra was discovered to have infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) have sparked up a relationship, and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) has been trying to develop artificial intelligence to replace The Avengers in battle.

The first threat they face is Baron von Strucker. We saw this guy at the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier . He awakened superpowers in Wanda and Pietro Maximoff through iffy experiments and transformed them into Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

After getting a hold of Strucker's technology, Iron Man merges it with his own to create Ultron. Of course, Ultron goes batshit crazy and sets out to destroy humanity. Along the way, he destroys Iron Man's A.I. helper J.A.R.V.I.S. (voiced by Paul Bettany) and rebuilds him into a super-strong robot called The Vision. Check out the new movie poster to see what he looks like.

Even if you're not obsessed with geeky movies like this, there's a lot to enjoy from Avengers: Age of Ultron.
