What Would Michelle Tanner's Style Be Like?

If you are proud child of the '90s, this has been a good week for you. Any "TGIF" programming fan worth her salt is stoked about the upcoming Full House Netflix reboot. Fashion divas Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen played youngest daughter Michelle Tanner on the sitcom, but the Olsen twins' participation in this new Full House series remains a bit nebulous. Still, I am in the grip of curiosity about how, exactly, Michelle Tanner's style would have evolved.

While M-K and Ash have left their careers as actresses in the rearview, having made their millions with their direct-to-video films and their legit fashion empire, which consists of The Row and Elizabeth and James, it would be fun to see them revisit their shared role of that cutie pie Michelle.

But obviously, Michelle would be all grown up, with a style and story arc of her own. What became of Michelle Tanner and her life remains to be seen, no matter how hard anyone tries to fan fiction it. But I can't help but hope and dream that her fashion sense would somehow be influenced by the actresses who portrayed her because duh. How could it not?

While M-K has been criticized for some of her oversized boho fashions, I firmly believe that these 7 Olsen Twin ensembles, outfits, and styles would totally translate to Michelle.

Call it fashion fan fiction!

Beachy, boho, and bedhead waves look great on both sisters and adult Michelle would certainly have to replace those pigtails with a style like this.

2. Back In Black

If grown up Michelle turns out to be an urban dweller or Manhattanite, she'd have to wear a lot of black. These simple frocks and embellished heels would be aces.

3. Shady Ladies

Sunglasses are also a wardrobe basic and these aviator frames are universal, and could be adapted to whatever personal style Michelle has adopted, be it boho, urban chic, trendy, edgy, or classic.

4. Go With The Flow

Let's face it. We don't know if M. Tanner grew up to be an architect, a model, a teacher, or a stay-at-home mom. And we won't know until Fuller House happens. But either of these flowy and fancy outfits would work for Michelle Tanner, Career Woman!

5. Trendy

Either of these LBDs could be Michelle Tanner-appropriate and age-appropriate. The Olsen Twins accessorized them in a trendy way, with the bags and heels, and the, uh, ears. But you can't go wrong with an LBD no matter how you accessorize.

6. Red-Lipped Love

The Olsen Twins usually go with nude or glossy lips, but this rare shot of the sisters with ruby red lips is so memorable and I feel like Michelle would further shed her former cuteness with a sexy red lip. We, along with dad Danny and Uncle Jesse, have to accept that she has grown up!

7. Blazered Up

A blazer is another wardrobe staple for any young, hip dresser. A blazer with a champagne colored dress, or with leather pants, like so, would have to be a part of her wardrobe and in her closet.

I get the sense that the grown up Michelle Tanner isn't exactly a jeans and t-shirt type of girl, so any of these ensembles would be a fit for her, but not just because they were worn by the actresses who played her. The Olsen Twins often push the boundaries with their style choices, but these looks could totally apply to their fictional alter ego!

I could totally see MT as an Elizabeth and James model, TBH.

There! I just wrote Michelle Tanner Fashion Fan Fiction.
