'The Mindy Project' Wishlist: 10 Dudes (And 1 Lady) Who Should Woo Mindy Lahiri

There's no new episode of The Mindy Project tonight. That makes us sad, so to fill this void we compiled a list of some dudes (and a lady) whom we'd like to see wooing the one and only Dr. Mindy Lahiri on The Mindy Project.

The Mindy Project has had a lot of guest stars. James Franco, Seth Rogen, Seth Meyers, Bill Hader, Kris Humpries (?!), Ed Helms, the list goes on. Timothy Olyphant is coming up. Basically this show should be called Mindy Kaling & A Bunch of Dudes.

Mindy Project is, after all, a show whose concept springs from the tropes of the romantic comedy, and as such, its leading lady comes stocked with a rotating cast of famous dudes to show us the ins-and-outs of TV-dating. This system has its perks (Seth Meyers!!) and its downfalls (instability), but it seems to have pretty much decided that this is the way it's going, so if you're a Mindy fan, it's your choice to either roll along with it or jump off the ship.

So who should woo Mindy Lahiri next? Click through to find out. Some are more likely than others, but we want them all oh so badly.

Ronan Farrow

This would only work if 1) Mindy decided to skew a little younger (Farrow is 25), and 2) if Farrow decided to give sitcom guest-starring a try. But he's hot and intelligent and very in touch with the millennial crowd, so he and Mindy could talk the big issues while also making One Direction references.

Damon Wayans Jr.

Because it would be nice if Mindy dated some men of color every once in a while and also (ok, mostly) because we miss Happy Endings like whoa.

Jared Padelecki

Included because we want to see his extreme tallness next to Mindy's relative shortness, and also because we really miss Gilmore Girls and need Padelecki to be in a sitcom that would reference it heavily.

Michael B. Jordan

He's a Hollywood It Boy right now so he might not have time now that he's making all these fancy movies, and like Farrow he's pretty young. But he's also pretty pretty! Look at that face! Tell me you don't wanna see that face on Mindy Kaling's face.

Steve Martin

We've got some young dudes, so let's throw in a really old one! Seems unlikely, but he's also Steve Martin. We would go out on a date with Steve Martin.

Natalie Portman

There were too many penises on this list. If Mindy ever aims for something a little less hetero (which seems unlikely but we can dream), we suggest Ms. Portman.

Cause, I mean, wouldn't you?

Darren Criss

He already wooed Kristen Wiig in Girl Most Likely. We want him to take a break from his Glee bowties and hairgel, scruff it up, and woo Mindy as some young hotshot indie rocker dude.

Robert Pattinson

Pattinson's got a pretty good sense of humor about himself (we highly suggest every human listen to the Twilight commentaries at least once), so we think he should go on The Mindy Project. As himself. And date Mindy Lahiri, a la that time James Franco had a threesome with Liz Lemon and that Japanese body pillow in 30 Rock.

Ed Westwick

It's been a while since we've seen Chuck Bass. We should change that.

Idris Elba

Mindy needs someone to take her on an impeccably smooth first date, the most romantic sweeping night of her life. Who better than a dude who, as one Tumblr post put it, "looks like cologne smells"?

John Mulaney

He was mainly behind-the-scenes of Saturday Night Live, but Mulaney's already huge in the comedy world and primed for a breakout into a more mainstream audience. He's the next Seth Meyers, guys, and Seth Meyers has already been on The Mindy Project.
