Celebs Are Being So Supportive Of Bruce On Twitter

It comes as no surprise that as Bruce Jenner tells the world he identifies as a woman, there is an outpouring of support on social media. Obviously, the haters and the Twitter comedians are coming out in droves as well, but I'm not up for feeding any trolls on a night when Bruce is doing something so brave and so beautiful for all of America to witness. Naturally, joining the supporters are celebrities from all corners and walks of fame — musicians like Lady Gaga, who've been supportive of transgender people for years, and actors and celebs who have yet to speak out. As Bruce, who requested that we still refer to him as "he" during his interview with Diane Sawyer, opens his heart and himself so transparently to fans and Americans everywhere, it is incredibly moving to see how many people he's reached, and how many people are ready and willing to help share his story.

In case you're unable to get to a television late on a Friday night, Jenner began his highly anticipated 20/20 interview by saying, "For all intents and purposes, I am a woman." Clearly, the interview isn't easy for Jenner. Throughout the discussion, he is driven to tears, but throughout he maintains his purpose: Telling his story, his way.

And it's incredibly beautiful to see the ways in which celebrities are receiving their fellow celeb as he truly is.

Editor's Note: Per Jenner’s stated preference, Bustle will continue referring to Jenner using he/his pronouns for the time being. We will follow his lead and make any changes to this policy as needed in the future.
