Honey Boo Boo, Kelly Osbourne, and 9 Other Celebrities With Great Halloween Costumes

It's time for that day-after-Halloween tradition: Ogling celebrity Halloween costumes. Every year, Halloween rolls around and we all panic. Who should we dress as? How do we avoid spending 60 dollars on a crappy store-bought costume that will inevitably turn us into the "sassy" version of whatever character we're attempting to be? Can we just get away with a fun hat and silly make-up? Either way, we manage to don something fabulous, eat some candy, and wake up the next day, ready to scroll through our friends' and favorite celebrities' costumes.

This year, we found lots to be thankful for on All Saints Day. From the classic TV heroines on the Today Show, to Kelly Osbourne's celeb-obsessed costume, to Sarah Hyland channeling her inner zombie-killer, 2013 was a great year for celebrity costumes. Some of these folks did well because (as usual) they're rolling in the cash and can spend any amount of money on their timely and extravagant duds, but a few of these outfits consist of things you could pull from your own closet. It just might help you get enough inspiration to get a head start on 2014... or even the inevitable weekend Halloween parties on Nov. 1 and Nov. 2.

Schlemiel! Schlimazel!

Savannah Guthrie and Natalie Morales dressed as iconic TV characters Laverne and Shirley on Today, proving that Matt Lauer in drag wasn't the only thing worth paying attention to on Thursday morning.

She's No Sissy — But She's Pretty Damn Good

Kelly Osbourne fully committed to the pig blood-soaked look from the classic horror flick Carrie. How do we know it's the Sissy Spacek version and not the more recent Chloe Moretz one? Come on. The doe-eyed look on Osbourne's face is so clearly Sissy.

Two for Two

Osbourne gets two home runs this year: first for Carrie and then for her Christina Hendricks. Kelly channeled the Mad Men star and part-time goddess for a special episode of Fashion Police, which found Joan Rivers dressed as bizarro Miley Cyrus and Giuliana Rancic as Sophia Vergara. But for our money, it's all about Osbourne's killer look.

Looking a Little Pasty

You can dislike Miley Cyrus and her unrelenting quest to show her breasts all you want, but even the most modest pop culture fan has to admit this costume is spot on. Plus, it's been long enough since Diana Ross booped Lil Kim's infamous pastied breast at the MTV VMAs that this costume kind of serves as Throwback Thursday treat, too.

The Apple Of Our Eye

Britney Spears melted this cold, cold heart with her sweet Snow White costume. And what's more, is that she made her adorable get-up a group costume with her whole dance crew, who dressed up as her seven dwarfs. This former Mouseketeer clearly lives by the "once a Disney kid, always a Disney kid" rule.

She'll Protect Her (Modern) Family

Modern Family star Sarah Hyland is clearly a fan of The Walking Dead, evidenced by this look that appears to be inspired by Maggie. It's nice to know we're not the only ones who obsess over our favorite shows.

We're Hooked

Be still, my Disney-loving heart. Mindy Kaling may just be the best, most adorable Captain Hook I've ever seen. The smirk! The sideways glance! The mustache! There's absolutely nothing not to love about this picture.

Better Than The Real Thing

I'm not even a Honey Boo Boo fan and I can appreciate the sheer joy of seeing the sassy little TLC star doing her best Kris Jenner impression (center). She's even got the all important duck face going on. If there were pageant trophies for best reality star impression, this little lady would take them all.

Absolute Perfection, As Always

This is how you do a family Halloween portrait. Once again, Neil Patrick Harris and family are perfection. But my favorite part? The sheer fierceness of Harris and David Burtka's daughter as the Bride of Frankenstein. She could not be any more precious.

Keeping it Classic

Josh Duhamel and Fergie certainly found the right angle for their couple costume this year. Their renditions of Elvira and Riff Raff are so spot on, I'm pretty sure I just felt a chill go down my spine. Bravo, Duhamels.

And of course, Ellen

How could we not include Ellen Degeneres' hilarious Nicki Minaj underboob costume? There was no way we could go on without it. The curvature of the plastic is forever emblazoned in our minds.
