Is Lindsay Lohan Designing Clothes Again?

by Emily Kirkpatrick

Lindsay Lohan hasn't exactly had the most success in her career as of late, although the world keeps waiting for her to make a major comeback. But all the naysayers haven't slowed her down for a second, because Lindsay Lohan is designing a new collection for British clothing brand Lavish Alice — or at lease she might be, based on a cryptic Instagram post. Perhaps this will be the project that thrusts LiLo back into the spotlight (and the public's good graces)?

This isn't Lohan's first go-around in the fashion industry, though her past ventures haven't exactly been major triumphs. The actress first tried her hand at design back in 2008 when she launched her own line of leggings, 6126, which expanded to include a full range of clothing in 2010 before shuttering due to licensing and legal issues. She also co-designed a universally criticized collection for Emanuel Ungaro in 2009, and earlier this year created capsule collections for Civil Clothing and PacSun to very little fanfare.

Well now, Lohan's back at it, suggesting in the below IG photo that she has a new collaboration launching with Lavish Alice in June, though representatives for the brand have yet to confirm or deny. The images for the campaign were shot by famed photographer Rankin, whom you may know as the founder of Dazed & Confused and publisher of AnOther and Hunger magazine.

With high fashion heavyweights backing her latest venture, let's hope that Lohan's line finally provides her with the success she's been looking for this time around. I would also accept a career resurrection in the form of another Mean Girls, on the off chance Tina Fey's reading this right now.
