Who Designed Caitlyn Jenner's 'Vanity Fair' Look?

Caitlyn (with a "C," guys) has officially arrived. Caitlyn Jenner made her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair 's July issue and she could not look more stunning. Jenner wore a gorgeous silk corset and pulled off the look flawlessly. The cover is important for a thousand different reasons, chief among them the fact that Jenner is taking an important, necessary, and brave stand for the transgender community. But you know else is pretty great? A woman over 60 is on the cover of a major magazine wearing lingerie. So many positive things going on here.

Although the designer of Jenner's gorgeous corset is still officially a mystery, TMZ is saying that Jenner's stylist picked up the piece from Trashy Lingerie, a famous West Hollywood boutique. According to the report, the corset retails for $200.

Whether TMZ's reports are correct or not, the piece in itself is stunning — and what it represents is even more powerful. Jenner could have worn anything on the cover of Vanity Fair, and the issue still would have been a landmark moment for both the transgender community and society as a whole, but the fact that she chose to wear something so inherently feminine and revealing is a bold, brave, and brilliant move. The revealing, yet intimate feel of the cover is reflective of Caitlyn's new freedom to truly "be herself," an idea she echoed on her new Twitter account.

The corseted body suit truly let Jenner show off her beauty and femininity while being so, so chic all at the same time. It's a surprising choice, especially given that Jenner spoke about her love for dresses in her 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer, but it's obvious that Caitlyn made the right choice, proving that the stylish Kardashian family has nothing on Caitlyn Jenner.
