Check Out Tavi's Mature Holiday Look

As devoted Rookie readers, we were very pleased to see these images: Tavi Gevinson is starring in Cole Haan's Holiday collection ad campaign, shot by Jake Chessum. Brilliant in a bright red ensemble, Gevinson models her accessory picks for the holiday season with her signature sass.

Haan stated they selected Gevinson as one of several contemporary trendsetters, picking her as part of a group of "up and coming fresh faces of today who are making good things happen". The designer's website announces that its gift guide, themed "Talented and Gifted," enlists the unique style expertise of nine artists who the company calls some of "the most talented people we know". Each featured "talent" curated their favorite holiday accessories from the collection, and Gevinson's chic spread — as well as the gorgeous accompanying photos — is garnering admiration already.

Haan's collection showcases classic styles with a bit of holiday sparkle, from the Edie High Party Pump in a dashing shade of crimson and a glitzy gold heel, to the Masquerade Envelope Clutch in Black Velvet. Other items on Gevinson's wish list include the glamorous gold Med Cosmetic Zip Pouch and the appropriately offbeat crocodile embossed Breslyn Oxfords.

Gevinson's elegant turn in the campaign marks a turning point for the 17-year-old blogger and editor, whose trademark look has historically veered more towards experimental and idiosyncratic as opposed to classic. We're hoping for more of this newly sophisticated Tavi, with a healthy dose of her eccentricity thrown in.
