Is Adam Going to Be in 'Batman vs. Superman'?

This is either good news or bad news depending on how you feel about Girls star Adam Driver and the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film, so I'm just going to come out and say it: According to The Verge, Adam Driver has denied rumors that he will be Nightwing in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, Batman vs. Superman.

The rumors reportedly started when The Wrap posted that Driver was "the frontrunner" for the role. Rumors were fueled by the fact that Driver does actually look the part — Nightwing, Dick Grayson's post-Robin alter-ego, is described as tall, with dark hair — and the fact that he's apparently described as "a new favorite" at Warner Bros.

"No, there's no truth to it," Driver told The Huffington Post of the rumors. "I don't know whoever put it out there. I don't know how these things get [started]."

There's no denying that Adam Driver is a great actor, but would he have been right for the role of Nightwing? In my opinion, probably not, but the film already surprised us once by casting Ben Affleck as Batman — maybe Driver would have surprised us? We already know he can somehow make it across Brooklyn in a total of 30 minutes, which is pretty superhuman if you ask any New Yorker. But is it superhero superhuman?

We'll never know.
