Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka

Harris and Burtka met over 10 years ago and Harris has said that the main reason the decided to get married was for their children. He shared with The View , that it was “less about a proclamation and more about a declaration that I was able to share in front of our kids, and that he could do back for me.” In Glamour, he also shared, “I think you have to find new elements that turn you on, and not only sexually. Having kids was one of those great moments for me. ”

Beyoncé & Jay Z

The key to Bey and Jay’s relationship has been extreme privacy, which is great for them and only leaves fans with too much curiosity. Beyoncé opened up once to Essence , saying, “We decide everything. My word is my word. What Jay and I have is real. It’s not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It’s real.” But their marriage was also strengthened by the fact that they were first friends. She told Glamour, “We have been together since I was 20 years old. We took our time and developed an unbreakable friendship before we got married.”

Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have been married since 1988 and seem to be just in love as ever. Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi

One of the most admirable things about DeGeneres is her constant urging to simply be the most true and open version of yourself that you can be, which is exactly what makes any relationship work out for the best. DeGeneres told Glamour, “Find out who you are and be that person. That’s what your soul was put on this earth to be. Find that truth, live that truth, and everything else will come.”

Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos

Ripa and Consuelos have been married since 1996 after meeting on the set of All My Children. She shared her best love advice with dating site YourTango : “Don’t get divorced after your first argument! I have a lot of friends that have one fight and that’s it, they get divorced. I go, ‘Wait a minute! Oh my gosh, you guys! Calm down! You’ll forget in three days what you were fighting about. I promise. So just let it marinate a little bit — that’s my best love advice.” Consuelos also told YourTango, “You have to make some time for yourselves.”

Eric Dane & Rebecca Gayheart

Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart have been married since 2004 and are still hopelessly in love. In my opinion, Dane got it right when he was asked about his role in his relationship at home and he answered, ”No, my wife is definitely the one behind the steering wheel… She does, so to speak, wear the trousers.” Fine, I know relationships should be equal but Dane also has commented on how easy their marriage is, simply because they just are so in love. He told YourTango, I was going to say, ‘It’s work, relationships take work,’ but that makes it sounds like relationships are hard, that they’re work. Rebecca and I have always gotten along really well. We’ve always had a really strong connection. I’m the last guy that should be giving people advice on love, that’s for sure. But I have a great marriage. I just got lucky, I guess.”

Chris Pratt & Anna Farris

These two are probably my favorite celebrity couple right now. Chris Pratt is the man of the moment, and he is also unabashedly in love with his wife, Anna Farris, and their son, Jack. Pratt shared with Entertainment Tonight, “These are the work years. The gravy years are to come… The way we work it out is we just take at least one moment every day to be present with one another. Whether or not we’re in the same room, or the same state, or even the same country, we check in, you know? Our motto is ‘eye on the prize.’”

Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt have been together for over 14 years! The couple revealed some of their relationship advice on an E! red carpet and Hamm joked, “Breath mints. That’s always important.” On a serious note, Westfeldt continued, “We have no secrets… There’s no secrets.”

Will Smith & Jada Pinkett-Smith

This long-time couple has often been criticized for their supposed “open marriage” and Jada defended her relationship with some great advice in a Facebook post she shared: “Should we be in relationships with individuals who we can not entrust to their own values, integrity, and LOVE…for us??? Here is how I will change my statement…Will and I BOTH can do WHATEVER we want, because we TRUST each other to do so…This does NOT mean we have an open relationship…this means we have a GROWN one.”

David Bowie & Iman

Married since 1992, this couple is the epitome of rock star and model GOALS. They have a daughter together and their relationship has thrived because of their same ideas on a fulfilling life. Iman shared with CNN’s Fredericka Whitfield, “Family is first, everything else is secondary… knowing what your priorities are when you get married…I think that makes a big difference.”
