Russell Brand and Katy Perry
Russell Brand's exotic proposal was by far the most convincing part of his car crash of a relationship with Katy Perry. At the end of a vacation in Jaipur, India, Brand arranged for the couple to arrive at a candlelit dinner via horse and carriage. This wasn't nearly the most impressive part of the night, though: After dinner, Brand and Perry watched a private fireworks show while riding an elephant. I don't know about you, but that's the exact number of magical animal rides that would convince me to marry someone.
Kate Middleton and Prince William
Prince William took Middleton to a secluded cabin in Kenya to pop the question. To be sure that this locale was as far removed from the public eye as possible, this electricity-free cabin is only reachable by air or horseback (or 15km from the nearest road), and is surrounded by elephants, hyena, buffalo, and leopards.
Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise
TomKat takes the cake as most ridiculous couple for a number of reasons, and Cruise's Eiffel Tower proposal is probably the least interesting of them. Regardless, a proposal atop the world's most romantic location is pretty darn cute, and, when you count plane fare and more, pretty darn expensive.
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel
Luckiest woman on earth Jessica Biel loves to snowboard, so naturally her romantic genius of a fiancée took her to the snowcapped mountains of Jackson to ask her to marry him. Sigh.
Pink and Carey Hart
Pink took proposing into her own hands when she arrived at one of motocross star Carey Hart's races with a giant sign that read, "Will you marry me?" The other side of the sign said "I'm serious!" You know, just in case.
