Uniqlo's Latest Collab Features Stylish Knitwear

by Rosie Narasaki

Oh, Uniqlo, you've done it again. Uniqlo x Lemaire's knitwear collab is everything I hoped it would be. After a string of ultra-chic collaborations with various celebrities (Pharrell x Uniqlo), international bloggers (Hana Tajima x Uniqlo), industry giants (Carine Roitfeld x Uniqlo), and high-end designers (Jil Sander x Uniqlo) — not to mention the recent launch of their first shoe line — Uniqlo has given us the first sneak peek of their newest collection (just in time for Paris Couture Week, of course). Yep, it looks like they're continuing their rapid bid for world domination, this time with a collaboration with former Hermes Creative Director Christopher Lemaire, and his design partner Sarah Linh-Tran.

Lemaire x Uniqlo was first announced back in March, and it's covet-worthy enough to turn even the most rational of us all into Gollum: The upcoming fall/winter line (which includes a considerable 30 pieces for women and 25 pieces for men) places a special emphasis on knitwear (as well as Uniqlo's famous HeatTech, which Lemaire and Tran are particular fans of), and includes everything from sumptuous and simple black turtlenecks, to geometrically-textured cream sweaters. Best of all, true to the fast fashion line's accessibility, all of the pieces will run between $22 to $199 — guess it's time to start planning ahead for the autumn wardrobe.

Let's take a look at some of the must-have pieces of the upcoming Lemaire x Uniqlo capsule collection!

Luxuriously simple and classically sumptuous, no? In a profile with Vogue UK, Lemaire himself summed it all rather nicely:

Our philosophy is close to Uniqlo's. Uniqlo designs quality garments for everyday life. It's is not trend-driven ... Every item combines elegance with moderate relaxation and comfort, for modern, advanced wardrobe mainstays.

The collection will hit shelves/the Internet in October — so the time's just about right to hit the starting blocks.
