Reformation's "I'm Up Here" Collection Returns

by Kali Borovic

The second time looks like it might be the charm for Reformation's "I'm Up Here collection." With a new model and fresh designs, this line could be the best thing yet for big busted women out there. If you're a fashionista who wears a C to DD cup size, this boob-friendly clothing is for you.

This is the brand's new and improved take on a collection specifically for chesty women. And, while the un-subtle and clever name may have stayed the same, the brand has seemed to work out some of its kinks. The non curvy models and restrictive-looking clothing in the first release of "I'm Up Here" caused some backlash.

As Ashley Hoffman at Styleite put it, "The fact that they’ve been selling womenswear this long without accounting for the women who outbreast the customers who actually get to have romper access is ridiculous, and fashion sites are acting like this is The Rapture for girls with chests. Are we all looking at the same web page? From the look of it, these clothes will fit women who simply have visible chests, not ‘full cup’ as advertised.”

This time around, Reformation has traded their modestly-breasted models for Daisy Lowe, a full-cupped woman who not only looks fabulous but gives women a more realistic glimpse at how each piece might fit. The brand also fixed some fit issues that will hopefully make the clothing more wearable for a variety of body types. The collection features cutout dresses and crop tops that will hopefully leave women feeling comfortable and confident.

Reformation founder Yael Aflalo told The Fader that the inspiration "came from women in the office who have larger chests that would sarcastically be like, 'That’s cute, I wish I could wear it. Thanks Yael,' and also from Instagram comments."

According to Alfalo, Reformation is "really good at noticing holes in the marketplace," which is easy to see when taking a look at their offerings. They have items for women, brides-to-be, and lower-priced pieces, in addition to the selections for bustier women.

"The incorrect misconception is that women with larger chests want to dress really modestly or on the flip-side they want clothing that really shows off their chests. It’s actually somewhere in the middle like, 'I want clothes that flatter me but I also don’t want to expose my whole body,'" Aflalo told Fader.
