If you’ve been waiting to know whether Victor (Michael Cimino) ultimately picks Benji (George Sear) or Rahim (Anthony Keyvan) on Hulu’s Love, Victor, you’ll get your answer soon. Last Jul. 30, it was announced that the spinoff of the beloved coming-of-age film Love, Simon had been renewed for Season 3. And since then, fans have been awaiting more details. On Tuesday, Feb. 8, the streaming platform finally revealed the show’s imminent premiere — as well as sad news for fans of the young LGBTQ+ dramedy. The third season, which will be out in June, will also be Love, Victor’s final season.

Don’t worry, with all the cliffhangers from last season, the door is wide open for various developments for the show’s young couples. Plus, This Is Us and How I Met Your Father showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, returned to write the final season. The writing duo also wrote the original 2018 movie, so expect them to tie up all loose ends and give Victor and friends the ending they deserve. Here’s everything to know about the final season of Love, Victor, including the show’s release date and what awaits the students of Creekwood High.

The Love, Victor Season 3 Plot

While the second season ended with Victor torn between the two young men, many of the show’s other couples also experienced changes, with new storylines in store for couple Felix (Anthony Turpel) and Victor’s sister Pilar (Isabella Ferreira), and Lucy (Ava Capri) and Lake (Bebe Wood). Mia (Rachel Hilson) and Andrew (Mason Gooding), meanwhile, were last seen setting off to see Mia’s mom. Victor’s parents also had a passionate reunion in the final moments that suggests they’ll get back together, and with senior year approaching, there are plenty of milestones to cover like prom, college applications, and graduation.

According to Hulu, the final season will take Victor on “a journey of self-discovery” with him having to decide who he wants to be with and who he wants to be. And with graduation on the horizon, the characters will need to face their future. “With their post-high-school-plans looming, Victor and his friends are faced with a new set of problems that they must work through to make the best choices for their futures,” Hulu teased.

The Love, Victor Season 3 Premiere Date

Both of the previous seasons were released in early June, which is also Pride Month. In keeping with tradition, all eight episodes — two less than usual — of the final season will also be released this June.

On Twitter, the official Love, Victor account shared a video of the cast doing the passing the phone TikTok challenge, which ends with Cimino saying, “I’m passing the phone to Season 3.” It was captioned, “the gang is back one more time. the third and final season of #lovevictor drops June 15 on @hulu.”

The Love, Victor Season 3 Cast

The core characters are all returning for the last season, per Hulu. Cimino and his on-screen love interests Sear and Keyvan are all listed as part of the cast. The Salazar family — Armando (James Martinez), Isabel (Ana Ortiz), Pilar (Ferreira), and Aidan (Mateo Fernandez) — will also reprise their roles. Turpel, Wood, Hilson, and Gooding will also come back. Lucy (Capri), a new character introduced in Season 2, is also included in the Season 3 lineup.

One key character who may not return is Simon, played by Nick Robinson in the original Love, Simon movie. At the end of Season 2, Victor told Simon that he didn’t need his advice anymore, giving the show permission to break further away from its source material.

However, in an interview ahead of Season 2, co-showrunner Brian Tanen told TV Line, “Involving characters from the film is always on our wish list.” Season 2 not only featured Robinson as Simon, but also Josh Duhamel as his dad Jack. “[The original cast is] such an incredibly talented and busy group of actors, so we say it with a grain of salt, hoping we can get people to participate,” he said. Neither Robinson nor Duhamel are included in Hulu’s cast lineup for Season 3, but you never know. Maybe they’ll show up for one final goodbye.

Another character who may not come back is Felix’s mom, Dawn, played by Betsy Brandt. Currently, she’s not on the list of Hulu’s Season 3 cast members.

The Love, Victor Season 3 Trailer

Fans will have to wait a bit longer for a trailer. The Season 2 trailer didn’t come out until May 20, about three weeks before the premiere. So keep your eyes peeled for the Season 3 trailer in late May.
