Here's Everything Leaving & Coming To Netflix UK In February

During these chilly winter months, curling up on the sofa for an evening of telly sounds more appealing than ever. For those of us who prefer to stay in, Netflix is on hand with a colossal library of films and TV shows for our viewing pleasure, and if you’re in search of some much-needed escapism from a seemingly never-ending bad news cycle, you're in luck, because the streaming service is set to introduce a lineup of exciting new additions throughout the next month. To give you a nudge in the right direction of what to look out for, here are all the new TV shows and movies coming to and leaving Netflix UK in February 2022.

Over the next few weeks, Netflix UK is once again extending its already extensive selection of content. Leading this month’s impressive lineup is the latest fascinating documentary from the makers Don’t F*** With Cats, the newest addition to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre horror franchise, Shonda Rhimes’ brand new drama Inventing Anna, and much, much more.

So, it appears users can once again look forward to a tonne of thrilling new options throughout the month of February, and you can find everything that's arriving on, and departing, Netflix UK over the coming weeks.

What We’re Excited For

The Tinder Swindler

From the makers Don’t F*** With Cats, this Netflix original documentary follows the real-life story of Shimon Hayut, who allegedly scammed women from Norway, Finland, and Denmark out of thousands of dollars. Hayut allegedly targeted women on the Tinder dating app, on which he pretended to be Simon Leviev — the son of the billionaire diamond mine owner, Lev Leviev. This must-watch doc is available to watch as of Feb. 2.

Inventing Anna

Created by Shonda Rhimes (Grey's Anatomy, Scandal), and based on the New York Magazine article “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People” by Jessica Pressler, this U.S. drama depicts the fascinating true story of Anna Delvey — a woman who conned the elites of society by pretending to be a German heiress and used her fake persona to defraud banks, hotels, and wealthy people around the world between 2013 and 2017. The miniseries arrives on the platform on Feb. 11.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)

The latest addition to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise follows the story of four young people who have recently started a new life in Harlow, Texas. However, the ever-terrifying Leatherface is back and begins to target the group. Directed by David Blue Garcia, the film is intended as a direct sequel to the 1974 original, and won’t acknowledge the horror franchise’s eight other releases. This blood thirsty release drops on Netflix UK on Feb. 18.

Mean Girls

Penned by and starring Tina Fey, this 2004 teen comedy follows the story of Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) as she enrols at North Shore High School following many years of being homeschooled in Africa. Struggling to fit in, Cady stumbles upon a group of notoriously mean girls, known as “the plastics” (Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert, Amanda Seyfried), and sets out to take them down with the help of her misfit friends, Janice (Lizzy Caplan) and Damian (Daniel Franzese). The movie went on to become a teen classic following its mid-2000s release, which is why it’ll be sad to see Mean Girls go on Feb. 1.

Parks and Recreation

Created by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur, this much-adored mockumentary sitcom originally aired between 2009 and 2015, and follows the upbeat Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) as she deals with the often hilarious ups and downs of working in the Parks Department of Pawnee, a fictional town in Indiana. The comedy’s ensemble cast also stars the likes of Rashida Jones, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, and Rob Lowe, among others. The series sadly leaves the platform on Feb. 1.

Magic Mike

Starring Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, and Matthew McConaughey, this 2012 comedy-drama is loosley based on the earlier years of Tatum’s career, when he briefly worked as a stripper in Florida. The story centres on a young man named Adam, who begins working as a male stripper and is guided through the industry by the veteran performer, Mike Lane. The movie leaves Netflix UK on Feb. 1.
