And just like that, a ready-to-drink Cosmopolitan brought to you by Sarah Jessica Parker and Thomas Ashbourne Craft Spirits has entered the chat. If you’ve seen Sex and the City, you might recall the tangy hot pink cocktail as Carrie Bradshaw’s alcoholic beverage of choice. Seen in pretty much every bar scene of the hit HBO series, the Cosmopolitan has made a name for itself — and now you can buy it in stores thanks to the new Perfect Cosmo by SJP.

“We’ve been focused on sourcing high-proof, premium spirits with the best natural ingredients to elevate the Thomas Ashbourne portfolio above the pre-made cocktail standard,” says CEO Cara Kamenev in a press announcement. Partnering with celebrities like SJP and Playboi Carti, the brand is onto something major in the realm of craft cocktails made convenient.

Before the party boat days and beachy weekends to come in the next few months, what could be better to have in hand than a refreshing, fruity Cosmo? Whether you’re enjoying your adult juice from the bottle with friends, or just drinking from the unbelievably cute can, SJP’s signature beverage will be the hallmark of summertime — and beyond. No martini glass necessary here.

What Ingredients Are In The Perfect Cosmo By SJP?

Crafted with smooth vodka, cranberry, strawberry, and freshly squeezed lime flavors, this pink drink virtually replicates an actual mixologist-made Cosmopolitan. Currently wondering how it will pair with a cheeseburger and fries (See: Season 4, Episode 9).

What Does The Perfect Cosmo Taste Like?

First off, anything pink automatically earns brownie points in my book so the taste test started off on a high note. I also love a good Cosmo so I was ecstatic to try out The Perfect Cosmo. Upon initial taste, the vodka stood out as intense over the cranberry and lime flavors but was still surprisingly smooth. IMO, this cocktail was stronger than the average, so I’d highly recommend pouring over ice (I know, but trust) and maybe even mixing in a soda like Sprite to tone down the vodka if you don’t typically reach for strong-flavored drinks. If you like the taste of vodka, then this will totally be your jam.

How Much Alcohol Is In The Perfect Cosmo?

This tiny cocktail packs 20% ABV (40 proof) in just one 200 mL can. In comparison to other popular canned drinks like Bud Light Hard Soda and White Claw, which stand at 5% ABV in 12-ounce cans, the SATC tribute sip is no joke. Bring all the cocktails, but take your time with this one if you’re trying to balance your buzz.

Are There Other Drinks Featured In The Thomas Ashbourne Craft Spirits Collection?

YES. Thomas Ashbourne Craft Spirits launched this spring — and with it, four iconic Kosher-certified cocktails that are jam-packed with bold flavor and just so happen to be gluten-free. Alongside Kamenev are founding partners Sarah Jessica Parker, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, Rosario Dawson, John Cena, and Playboi Carti. Oh yeah, and each celeb has a drink to match.

The Margalicious Margarita by Ashley Benson, Rosario Dawson, and Vanessa Hudgens is a classic marg with fresh lime juice, sea salt, and orange zest blended with premium tequila. In other words: Summer in a six-ounce can.

Then there’s the (aptly chosen) Old Fashioned by John Cena, a smooth bourbon whiskey with zesty orange bitters, maplewood, and notes of caramel for a drink so elegant you’ll forget it’s pre-made. Charmed, naturally.

Playboi Carti’s featured drink is the Hardscatto, a white wine-inspired cocktail complete with flavors of peach, apricot, and elderflower that are a late-night party for your taste buds. Will take a bottle, please and thank you.

How Does The Perfect Cosmo By SJP Cost?

You’ll be able to get your sip on with 4-count packs or the full-size bottled version of The Perfect Cosmo at these locations starting May 2022. They’ll retail for $43.99 for a two-pack of the bottles and $59.99 for two four-count packs of the cans. Yet another reminder that good things always come in pairs. While the cocktails are only available in six U.S. states so far (California, Texas, Nevada, Washington, and Florida), Thomas Ashbourne will be going national later this summer so you can expect to find their mixed drinks all over the country soon.
