The day has finally almost arrived. After nearly three years of waiting, the greatest film of the 21st Century will finally see its sequel fly into theaters on May 5. That is, of course, the date when Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2 premieres. It's been a painfully long time since the first Guardians movie first debuted, and I've gone through several stages of waiting for Guardians 2 to come out.

Now, when I say that I believe Guardians of the Galaxy is the greatest film of the 21st century, I'm not using hyperbole. I firmly think that. It's my favorite movie to come out in years, and it's the one movie that I can't imagine a single person not enjoying. It has something for everyone. It's funny as hell, has great action and special effects, memorable characters, an engaging storyline, loads of emotion, and the soundtrack is probably the best I've ever heard. So basically, I've been waiting for the sequel ever since the credits rolled on the original back when I first saw it in theaters in August of 2014. And now that excruciating wait time has almost paid off, but I'd be lying if I said it was easy. So here are all the stages of what I went through while waiting for Guardians 2 to finally arrive.
