By comparison to other celebs, Chrissy Metz hasn't walked on that many red carpets — after her debut on NBC's This Is Us, Metz is one of TV's breakout stars. However, she obviously doesn't need help in the slayage department: Metz's 2017 Golden Globes outfit is one for the books.

Earlier in the weekend, E! Live From The Red Carpet revealed that Metz would wear one of two custom gowns from Christian Siriano: A bejeweled red frock reminiscent of old Hollywood, and a teal gown with a dramatic, one-sided cape on the left arm. However, Metz decided to throw everyone for a loop: Instead of either of those Siriano gowns, she chose a bold, deep purple dress with a rhinestone belt. Maybe she just wanted to keep fans guessing?

Either way, it's a gorgeous dress and a huge moment for the actor. This is Metz's first nomination for an award, nabbing a Best Supporting Actress nod for her role in This Is Us. It's a huge night for the actor, which is probably why she wanted to keep her dress options open.

Along with the gown, Metz styled her hair with loose waves and fresh makeup. The look was, in a word, perfect.

It's a look fit for a queen, and Metz certainly is.
