A Millennial Pink Moisturizer Exists & It's More Than Just A Trendy Gimmick

Millennial pink is just one of those colors that will automatically put hearts into your eyes, no matter how sick you are of the trend. It's just too pretty to turn your back on, even if it seems like everything from sofa covers to face masks are covered in the shade. The newest beauty staple to dabble in the cult color is Herbivore Botanicals' Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Creme, the brand's first daily cream moisturizer.

Herbivore Botanicals is an indie brand started by a husband and wife duo in Seattle, where they hand-make and package all their minimalist and dreamy products. But they're not exactly running their business out of a garage — their products have already made their way into big name businesses like Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and Sephora. The all-natural brand first started out on Etsy in 2011, but thanks to its beautiful packaging, lovely product colors, and effective formulas, Herbivore has shot up in beauty infamy. And when we say "natural," we mean natural. Sometimes the brand has to discontinue products if they can't find enough quantities out in nature. That's exactly what happened to their popular Hinoki Cypress Bath Soak when they couldn't find large enough supplies of the Hinoki cypress oil needed for it. Impressive.

While Herbivore Botanicals has had a night cream in their collection for some time, the brand didn't have a daily moisturizer to offer fans. After getting enough requests for one, they finally formulated an option — and it came out in a pretty millennial pink.

The product has been almost two years in the making, so you know the formula has been well thought out and tested. The duo not only wanted the cream to be lightweight, but also without plastic and silicone in the ingredients, which clog pores and are absorbed into your body through the skin. The end result was this fluffy "Water Cream," that came in a cotton candy pink hue.

In order to get that ultra-hydrating kick, the main ingredient in the product is rose water, followed by aloe water and white tea extract to reduce redness. Its meant to calm and nourish skin, and it goes on smooth and not greasy. It will leave your skin dewy and glowing, and — bonus! — it can double as a primer to go underneath your makeup.

If you want the pretty-in-pink jar on your own bedroom vanity, then you can make the cream yours for $48 at herbivorebotanicals.com.

And if you're looking for more ultra-hydrating creams and masks with an extra twist to them, check out some more options below.

1

Clinique's Millennial Pink Take

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief, $19, Nieman Marcus

Herbivore Botanicals isn't the first brand to make a fluffy pink day cream. Clinique also hopped on the bandwagon and created its own cream-gel that provides intense hydration that leaves your skin dewy and plump.

2

CO2Lift's Three Week Glow

CO2Lift Single Pack, $85, CO2Lift

A medical grade treatment that's gentle enough for sensitive skin, CO2Lift is a once a month mask that will give you that dewy look that lasts up to three weeks. This is an interesting mask because it doesn't just slather on ingredients like rose water or pomegranate onto the top layer of skin. Instead, it naturally stimulates the creation of oxygen molecules in your body, which are then delivered directly to the skin on your face and neck, giving you that intense glow.

3

GlamGlow's Water Burst Moisturizer

Waterburst Moisturizer, $54, GlamGlow

Much like Herbivore Botanical's day cream, GlamGlow's Waterburst moisturizer is all about that intense, water-based hydration that will leave you with a radiant glow. The formula is a light blue "water cream" that gives you 72 hour continuous hydration, and — the cool part — the cream immediately bursts into water drops once it makes contact with your skin.

From pink day creams to monthly face masks, there are so many out-of-the-box options out there that will keep you well hydrated all year long.
