It is always a special day in Hollywood when two big stars collide to create a supernova, especially in the love department. We all love Beyoncé and Jay Z, and the music world could do with another big power couple — and it looks like Drake and Jennifer Lopez might be stepping in for the position. In early December, Drake sparked rumors of a J. Lo fling when he attended a couple of her All I Have residency shows in Las Vegas. They reportedly then both attended a dinner together, according to E!, and now they've both posted a cozy photo on social media. So, now that the two dating could be an actual possibility, how did Drake and Jennifer Lopez meet?

(Bustle has reached out to reps for Drake and Lopez for comment, but has not yet received a response.)

It doesn't seem so far-fetched that Drake and J. Lo would be acquaintances throughout all of their years dominating the music world. There's no definitive evidence of the moment Drake and Lopez met, but Drake has at least been admiring Lopez for a while. (But, really, who wouldn't?) At an awards show in 2013, Drake was visibly taken aback at the sight of Lopez's revealing dress. Maybe they were already friends at that point, or, he could simply have just been admiring a beautiful woman:

Based on what a source told People after rumors started churning in December after Drake's visits to her Vegas show, the two seem to just have recently met and gotten closer because they're, allegedly, now working on new music. Is this the reason for all these pics? We know that Drake loves to hype up new projects, as he did with all those photos with Taylor Swift. People thought Swift and Drake were a thing, but later it seemed more likely that their relationship was strictly business.

People's source said of Drake and Lopez,

“They seem to really like and respect each other, but it’s early...Where it goes, we shall see. Friends of them both are hoping it becomes something, but it’s too early to say more than that...They’re making beautiful music together. They are spending a lot of time together and really enjoying each other, but right now it’s about the music.”

Well, it certainly sounds and looks like they're friends after all of this recording:

It is also a possibility that Lopez could have met Drake through Rihanna, who was her co-star in Home and of whom Lopez raved about to E! during their press tour, "I'm a huge Rihanna fan… and I feel like she's such a girl's girl, which I love, because I'm a girl's girl." That prospect would add another dimension to the reports that Rihanna recently unfollowed J. Lo on Instagram considering Rih has had an on-off relationship with Drake.

While it's very early to speculate, the only thing that is clear is that Drake and J. Lo may have met a while ago, but they are only recently becoming good friends and seem to be having a very good time with that!
