How To Buy This Incredible "Thigh-High Politics" Shirt

Back in December, Teen Vogue journalist Lauren Duca went on Tucker Carlson's Fox News show to talk about then-president-elect Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka Trump. Carlson went low, attacking Duca for entertainment articles she had written. Her response to the Fox host was fantastic:

A woman can love Ariana Grande and her thigh-high boots and still discuss politics. Those things are not mutually exclusive.

Now, you can buy your own "thigh-high politics" shirt in support of Duca and political awareness that's not mutually exclusive of fashion, pop stars, or whatever else.

But that December exchange wasn't the end of Carlson's attacks on Duca. For some reason, he restarted the antipathy in June — perhaps he can't handle that her appearance on his show launched her column, "Thigh-High Politics" and a successful writing career continuing to stand up for the resistance and providing information on how the masses can do so.

Every time we mention Duca on this show, she gets more and more famous and more revered on the left. Maybe next week she'll be honored by the pope and the Dalai Lama. If we mock that, she could get the Nobel Prize for Literature. Fifteen years from now we could be making fun of President Lauren Duca.

That may very well be true, but in the meantime the latest show of support comes in the form of this t-shirt. They're sleeveless Ts available in white or mauve, with two legs covered in thigh-high boots with "I like my politics thigh high" written in between. Duca tweeted out the design last week, pointing to artist Peter Breese as having created them. They're for sale on The-Outrage.com and all proceeds go to Planned Parenthood, donated in Carlson's name.

Of course, Duca did not become famous solely from her appearance on Carlson's show. Earlier in December, she wrote about how then president-elect Donald Trump was gaslighting the country, psychologically manipulating the electorate until "they question their own sanity." The piece went viral, began a conversation on Trump's actions, and established Teen Vogue as a home for this brand of informed, left-leaning political content.

Most recently Duca has written on Don Trump, Jr.'s emails, pointing out wise tidbits like what they mean for politicians going forward:

If there was ever a moment to choose country over party, it is this one, but given the intensity of this, our latest worst-case scenario, let's be real specific about what complicity means: From this point forward, any elected official who in any way impedes a full and complete investigation into Russia's ties to the Trump administration should be considered an enemy of democracy.
