How The Solar Eclipse's Effects Will Stretch Through The Rest Of 2017

While the actual solar eclipse only lasted a few hours, its impact on the future direction of people, and the planet, will have lasting effects. If you're wondering: How will the solar eclipse effect the rest of 2017? astrologers predict a sea change in humankind's collective consciousness, though things might seem to get worse before they get better. Astrological researcher Lynn Koiner posted parts of a talk from Bill Meridian, who distills work of celebrated astrologer Charles Jayne, that explains the celestial after effects of eclipses.

Koiner noted that the effects of solar eclipses can continue to reverberate up to one year after the actual event. Basically, eclipses stimulate the energy of the planet before they happen and then trigger it after they occur.

"It is my experience, and Meridian states the same, that events that commence just before an eclipse tend to flop," Koiner wrote. "I say that some other event will 'eclipse' the situation, and I always use the example of Charles and Camilla who were supposed to marry just before an eclipse, and then the Pope died so that they had to change their wedding date! Eclipses can affect a collective destiny in a group event, such as something happening to a group of children. But, whatever you do around an eclipse takes on great importance."

Hopefully you took a few minutes this morning to set your intentions for the rest of 2017. If you didn't, it's not too late. You can even join a free online intention setting class with Sage Goddess.

Solar Eclipses Expand Collective Consciousness

In general, human beings tend to view life through a micro lens, meaning most people are concerned with what is happening to them because everyone is the center of their own universe.

An example of this is people who support the Trump administration's racist, sexist and xenophobic ideals, and refuse to see how those policies negatively impact everyone. A solar eclipse is, theoretically, supposed to force people to see things on a macro level, and make them widen their perspective.

"We have a finite focus as human beings, and it’s natural to concentrate on what’s in front of us," the Astro Twins noted. "At times, this can limit our perspectives on the world, and even cause us to miss out on opportunities. Solar eclipses might snatch away the familiar temporarily, forcing us to consider options we would never otherwise explore. Although this can cause temporary upheaval, eclipses are 'cruel to be kind.' Major growth can happen during these cosmic power outages."

Astrologers Predict Trouble For Trump

Because he was born during an eclipse period, astrologers have predicted trouble for Trump for the rest of 2017. The Aug. 21 solar eclipse at 28 degrees and 53 minutes of Leo will have more lingering effects on people born with personal planets and points at approximately 24 to 30 degrees of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius), and approximately zero to four degrees of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly, according to Cafe Astrology. Trump is a Gemini, which is a mutable sign known for making waves.

If the past month is any indication, including the game of musical chairs that has become Trump's cabinet, his upsetting — but not surprising response to the Charlottesville tragedy — and today's gaffe that had him staring directly into the sun during the solar eclipse, his reign of absurdity may be on the downswing.

"[It's] possible that there will be a sudden health issue that lands on Trump’s shoulders, pulling him out of the Oval," Wade Caves, an astrological consultant who published a 29-page analysis of today's eclipse, said in an article in Newsweek by Max Kutner. "It’s also quite reasonable to suspect ousting, either through official channels (i.e. impeachment) or a mutiny behind closed doors. What we can say with reasonable assurance is that these charts, when properly considered, make it difficult to imagine Trump has smooth sailing ahead."

Since these are just predictions, we'll just have to wait and see, and continue to resist.
