March Madness 2017 has nearly reached an end — with Gonzaga and South Carolina set to compete for the title of NCAA champions on Monday, Apr. 3, in Phoenix, Arizona, all I can ask is: Who’s got their brackets ready? Going into the game, which will air on CBS at 9:20 p.m. ET, it's worth looking at some inspirational quotes to get you in the mood — which is why I put together a nice list of March Madness quotes to share on social media ahead of the National Championship game.

I think we can all agree that the spirit of dedication and inspiration certainly can come from the court (field, rink, etc). There are a ton of different iconic basketball players that are overflowing with inspirational stories from the experiences on and off the court: Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, LeBron James, Yao Ming, Derrick Rose, and much more.

Here are a few quotes to share on the social during March Madness this year:

“The game of basketball has been everything to me. My place of refuge, place I've always gone where I needed comfort and peace. It's been the site of intense pain and the most intense feelings of joy and satisfaction. It's a relationship that has evolved over time, given me the greatest respect and love for the game.” - Michael Jordan

"Sometimes a player's greatest challenge is coming to grips with his role on the team" - Scottie Pippen

“I treated it like every day was my last day with a basketball.” - LeBron James

“I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow. I just know for sure I'm going to keep playing basketball.” - Kevin Durant

“I wanted to be a football player. Football is a sport that I love, but the more I started playing basketball, the more I started dreaming of playing in the NBA.” - Dwayne Wade

“Basketball, in America, is like a culture. It is like a foreigner learning a new language. It is difficult to learn foreign languages and it will also be difficult for me to learn the culture for basketball here.” - Yao Ming

“Everyone needs a coach. It doesn't matter whether you're a basketball player, a tennis player, a gymnast or a bridge player.” - Bill Gates

“There is no such thing as a perfect basketball player, and I don't believe there is only one greatest player either.” - Michael Jordan
