If you're looking for a New Year's Eve makeup look that's bound to dazzle and turn heads, consider trying the metallic eyebrow makeup DIY that's taking over Instagram. The last day of the year is often bookmarked as an evening full of glamour and a healthy amount of glitz, letting you dabble in silver and bronze eyeshadow palettes and encouraging you to reach for your most fluttery fake lashes. But as we try on our gold shadows or swatch on show-stopping lipstick hues, what about the rest of our faces?

Or specifically, why don't our eyebrows get any red carpet treatment? Enter metallic eyebrows, the makeup move that lets you add a touch of bling where it's least expected. Granted, this look isn't for those that are faint of heart when it comes to their makeup bags. Essentially you're going to be gilding your brows, so it's going to make quite the statement. But if you're ready to try something new or just want to have fun with your cosmetics for the special night, why not give it a go?

Originally, the look debuted on the catwalk for Dior's 2014 show, but Popsugar thought it would be an amazing sartorial move for the holiday season. "Don't get us wrong — we love the classic holiday red lip, but sometimes, we want to stand out. So when we saw the metallic eyebrows from Dior's Spring 2014 show, we knew it was the true moment to embrace beauty bravery and test out the look ourselves," Popsugar reported.

As you can see, the end result is straight up magical. You can add some subtle shimmer to your arches and accent them with metallic shadow on the lids, or if you want a softer approach, you can keep your eyes bare except for mascara.

To create your own shimmery eyebrow at home, you can use a slew of different products. If you want a subtle metallic look, try dusting on silver or gold shadow heavy with glitter. But if you want a liquid-like, gilded look similar to the ones you see on the Dior runway, opt for a cream shadow or gold liquid eyeliner. That way you get a heavy dose of pigment.

Whichever way you try it, one thing will be for certain: You're going to look New Year's ready with all that sparkle!
