Barack Obama touched many with his last address to the public from Chicago on Tuesday night. And while a number of big names were in the crowd to support him, no one could have been prouder at his farewell speech than First Lady Michelle Obama. The president was moved to tears during his speech as he thanked his wife and "best friend," saying:

You took on a role you didn't ask for and you made it your own, with grace and with grit and with style and good humor. You made the White House a place that belongs to everybody. And a new generation sets its sights higher because it has you as a role model. You have made me proud, and you have made the country proud.

Barack may very well have become misty-eyed again once he saw Michelle's response on Twitter.

The world didn't need anymore evidence that Barack and Michelle are head over heels in love with one another, but the First Lady provided it anyway. The tweet, which includes a black and white family photo from an earlier year, is just another testament to the love that the two share. As much as they both have accomplished and endured throughout their years together and in the international spotlight, the couple certainly has much to be proud of each other for and much to celebrate in these last few days of Barack's presidency. The story of their love is one for the ages.

But this wasn't the only time Michelle expressed her feelings about her husband.

Setting The Bar High In 2017

And needless to say, they have given many a new standard to aspire to in their own love lives.

And In 2016

This isn't the first time Michelle has tweeted about how proud she is of her husband. She posted a similar message following Barack's speech at the Democratic National Convention this past July.

Don't Forget 2014

And she did the same for Barack's birthday in 2014.

2013 Was A Big Year Too

Not to mention, she also reinforced how proud she was of him multiple times in 2013.

Obviously, Michelle can't tweet about every single time she is proud of her husband, but each time she does is a welcome reminder of the supportive and empowering relationship the two have built together.

The family is scheduled to leave the White House next week. However, the love Barack and Michelle, who will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this coming October, have for one another and have shown to the world will not soon be forgotten. The two may very well take the cake when it comes to most admired power couples. Michelle's response to Barack's farewell speech further goes to show it.
