An Update On 'RHOA' Stars' Porsha & Phaedra's Friendship

Annette Brown/Bravo

Here is a much-needed update since the super dramatic Real Housewives of Atlanta 9 Season reunion. Porsha Williams isn't speaking to Phaedra Parks, she revealed to Dish Nation Tuesday. While discussing the situation that went down between herself and Parks at the reunion, Williams said, "And for me to feel like she had betrayed me like that. And the fact that I was sitting right there and watched her continue to lie on me about it. That’s the part I can’t get past and I don’t know if if I ever will. Right now I just can’t talk to her."

She also mentioned that Parks did text her offering sympathy after Williams' uncle died a couple weeks ago, but other than that they haven't spoken. Per Williams, Parks has also called her, but she hasn't answered.

None of this should really come as a surprise to anyone, especially because of what caused their now rocky friendship. During the final part of the reunion episode, Williams unveiled that Parks was the one who told her the accusations about Kandi Burruss wanting to drug and rape her. Burruss denied this accusation repeatedly throughout the season and also at the reunion.

What made the situation even more disturbing is when Williams alleged Parks said Burruss was the one who told her that she was going to drug and sexually assault Williams. Parks denied this and said she heard it from another party, then repeated it. Parks did apologize to Williams and also for repeating the accusations made against Burruss.

Despite all of that, it clearly isn't enough for Williams at this moment in time. "It’s where you don’t want to be manipulated anymore," she explained. "I just don’t want to hear anymore of it right now." As for whether or not she and Parks will ever become "Frick and Frack" again, she's not entirely sure. "I may get to the point where I’m strong enough to where I can talk to her and maybe we can work it out." She added, "Right now it’s still so new to me. I haven’t even talked to the other girls."

Speaking of "the other girls," Williams also spoke to Dish Nation about her relationship with Burruss and how she's not looking to be friends with her. "Some people you want to be friends with them again," she said. "Some people you’re just like, I’m going to let that stay where it’s at. So I’m not really looking for a friendship with her."

That said, Williams does feel badly about how everything played out. Like she expressed to Burruss at the reunion, Williams told Dish Nation, "I apologized because I just hated to even play a part in it at all. I’m not throwing everything on Phaedra. I talked about some things. I said some things. Kandi said some things. So I apologized. Am I looking for a friendship [with Kandi]? No, not at all."

The reunion has definitely drastically changed things for not only Williams and Parks, but possibly for the show overall. There have been several reports that Parks won't return to RHOA due to the rumors she repeated. Bravo had no comment for Bustle on the matter.

Whatever happens, I certainly don't blame Williams for taking a step back from Parks and figuring things out for herself.
