Bustle's Editors On 'Bob's Burgers' + The Women's Convention

by Rachel Simon

Happy hump day, everyone! Thankfully, today has proven to be much less hectic news-wise than Monday and Tuesday were; after so many upsetting events, we all deserve a low-key rest of our week. Fingers crossed that that's the case!

For now, read on for a recap of what did have Bustle's editors talking today, Wednesday Oct. 4:

The Women's Convention + Celeb Speakers

A new event put together by the creators of the Women's March is taking place at the end of October, and it's sounding more exciting by the second. The Women's Convention is set to train activists on how to resist, and it'll feature workshops, panels, and some amazing key speakers including U.S. Representative Maxine Waters and actor/author Amber Tamblyn. Get your tickets ASAP.

Hell Yes: The finalists for the National Book Award include 15 female authors. Way to go, ladies.

Bob's Burgers + A Movie

OMG, you guys. A Bob's Burgers movie is happening, and it sounds like it's gonna be an absolute must-see. The film is set for a release date of July 17, 2020, and while that's unfortunately a looooong time away, you can start getting excited now. Series creator Loren Bouchard told Deadline that the movie will take the characters on an "epic adventure," and that "it has to fill every inch of the screen with the colors and the sounds and the ever so slightly greasy texture of the world of Bob’s." Sounds perfect.

Say What?! This is what Regina George's little sister in Mean Girls looks like now.

Women + Religion

All throughout the month of October, Bustle will be featuring stories about the ways young women today are connecting with religion and spirituality, and the first installment — about how anti-Semitism and Ivanka Trump have radicalized young Jewish women — is a doozy. Bigotry and discrimination are sadly more alive than ever, and it's crucial that we all do our part to stop the hate from spreading.

LOL: Twitter is loving the fact that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson might've called Trump a "moron."

Beauty Products + Your New Fave Products

If you're a beauty lover, then you're in luck, because these October 2017 beauty product launches are seriously great. From Pat McGrath's gorgeous new palette to Lush's swoonworthy Christmas collection, you've officially found all the presents to drop in stockings this holiday season — or just buy for yourself.

Shopping Break: Whether you treat pumpkin carving like a competitive sport or you're just after some seasonal Instagram-fodder, the best pumpkin carving stencils will seriously up your gourd-carving game.

Today's WTF Moment: Santa Claus' tomb might've been discovered in Turkey. NBD.

What to Watch: Reality fans, tune in to Bravo at 9 for the season premiere of RHONJ — you won't want to miss this drama.
