Adele Seems To Be MIA During The BBMAs

The Las Vegas award show may have a star-studded lineup, but it seems like Adele isn't at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards to catch all the action. But is it really an awards show without Adele? It's questionable. Although the singer wasn't spotted on the red carpet or in the audience at the 2017 show on Sunday evening, it's totally understandable as to why Adele would skip the BBMAs this year, even though she racked in a few nominations (as always).

It seems like the "When We Were Young" singer may have stayed home across the pond, taking a break between some other major appearances. She brought the house down at the 2017 Grammys with her killer performance of "Hello" from her album 25, and a George Michael tribute, and five Grammy wins. That mic drop grants her at least a few months off from awards shows, in my opinion.

Still, she's been busy. Adele's last major show was in Aukland, New Zealand at the end of March. Next month, she'll pick it up again and will surely blow audiences away with a few more shows in London. Plus, Adele just celebrated her 29th birthday a few weeks ago. She's probably just living her life at the moment, as I hope she would be.

Still, it will be interesting to see if the artist, who's nominated this year for Top Artist and Top Female Artist, will be defeated in her BBMAs record for the most wins ever at a single show. But with recent hits like "Hello," "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)," and "Water Under the Bridge" constantly on the radio and in fans' hearts, Adele is really everywhere. (Except, unfortunately, the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.)
