If there's one thing that makes any awards show great, it's the red carpet fashion that combines classic and modern in a new way. That's exactly what this actor did. Zazie Beetz' 2017 Golden Globes outfit was anything but typical despite being built around the most staple color around. She spiced up a classic look with unconventional hair and makeup that was oh so refreshing. After seeing this head to toe ensemble, you'll be inspired to try the trend for yourself.

Beetz is already Golden Globes winner tonight along with the entire Atlanta cast for Best Series Comedy or Musical, but she was a winner well before that. The actor completely stunned as soon as she hit the red carpet. She gave a fresh new take on the classic black dress in the pieced-together Delphine Manivet gown.

The top was velvet while the bottom, then switched to a second fabrics before picking back up at the bottom. In my opinion, it was classic, chic, and completely modern all at the same time. I have no idea how she pulled this all together, but I am so incredibly glad that she did. Not to mention how gorgeous the cut is on her. The back is just as gorgeous as the front too.

While her outfit was somewhat simple, it's was her beauty look that really stole the show. She opted for tousles hair and simple makeup. That is, until you see the tiny dotted detail underneath her eye.

How gorgeous is that! Add to all of that her simple, yet stunning layered jewelry and you have the perfect recipe for a memorable look. I can't get over how amazing this head-to-toe outfit is.

Ugh. That skirt though! This is definitely one of the best outfits of the night, if you ask me.
