Kate Wagner

Kate Wagner (she/her or they/them) is a writer and architectural critic. Their criticism has been published in Curbed, 99 Percent Invisible, The Atlantic, Architectural Digest and more. She is also the creator of the viral blog McMansionHell, which “roasts the world’s ugliest houses from top to bottom.” First launched in July 2016, the site has been profiled in Huffington Post, Slate, Business Insider and Paper Magazine. Wagner also works as a cycling journalist — sharing from @derailleurkate — with her work appearing in ProCycling and CyclingNews. They have a Masters of Arts in Audio Science from Johns Hopkins, with a specialization in architectural acoustics.
